How does the VIIO card work? Virtual, physical and where it's accepted

The VIIO Visa Card, physical or virtual, works in Colombia and abroad, in physical stores and online, with no maintenance fee. It's a separate product from Persimon S.A.S. (VIIO Colombia), under its own contract: when you make a purchase, Persimon pays for it and the amount is deducted from your VIIO balance. With the physical card, in some cases contactless payment requires a first purchase inserting the card into the card terminal; after that, it works normally.

Requirements: You can request the physical card at no cost as long as you have at least USD 50 in your account when you request it. That amount isn't charged; it's only a balance requirement, and you can still use those funds afterward. The virtual card requires a minimum balance of USD 3 and is activated immediately.
